A wealthy family renting is more than likely to be paying for their offspring to attend local schools and will have gone there because they either have friends in the locale or wish to participate in what the community has to offer, schools, shopping, restaurants, bookshops, local shops, churches etc. and what is more, they will be paying rent, rates and utilities and, no doubt, contributing to our taxes as well.

The beef here is that there will be too many little rat holes called 'self-contained bedsits' where young, vulnerable and inadequate people will be dumped for up to 8 weeks.  Most of them will be feeling very alone and bereft and, as happened in another place locally, become influenced by the  disaffected and criminal elements.  For the proposed age group, what is needed is a place with fewer units where proper guidance and discipline can be given and the vulnerable protected.
