I have just found the piece I had been looking for.  Though badly written, it suggests that 16 to 21 year olds can stay for up to 8 weeks and .... well read it for yourselves.  Who are these people who think youngsters will develop sufficient skills to look after themselves and find work.  They use the term 'encourage'.  What on earth does that mean?  to my mind it is meaningless verbage and will achieve nothing to assist these youngsters.  I despair of some of the nonsense being proposed or is it a ploy to get development money?

The Plans submitted by Shepherd's Bush Housing Association are to convert the Sutton Court Road property into 26 self-contained bedsits. If approved by Hounslow Council, St Margaret's House will provide supported housing for young people between the ages of 16 and 21 as well as office space and training facilities. Young people, who can remain the accommodation for up to eight weeks, are encouraged to develop essential skills to maintain a home and look for employment.
