I think the term 'clone town' can be misleading. Some of the most non-clone areas are those in poorer rundown areas as the chain clones, except the cheapest ones, don't wish to invest there. On the other hand, a high-clone area like Richmond has a far better range of shops and restaurants and is an extremely pleasant place are to be, especially when the weather is better than it is today. By the way, a clone Whole Food store is planned for the building where Uniqlo has just closed. |
