How should we interpret the last two posts made by Richard and David? Should we infer that they approve of the pro-Powell bias of various articles on the Wikipedia website? Do they, for example, approve of the fact that just about every one of the references in the "Rivers of blood" article is attributed either to the book that Powell himself wrote in 1969 (hardly impartial) or to the 1999 biography of Powell written by the pro-Powell journalist Simon Heffer? The attitude of these two Tory cheerleaders helps to explain why demographic change is slowly destroying their party in London. After all, why on earth should members of Hounslow's growing Asian community entrust their votes to a party whose members evidently worship at the altar of the man whose rhetoric did so much to damage race relations? |
