The Wikipedia article makes for interesting reading.

However I cannot understand Robin Taylor's obsession with Enoch Powell. Mr Powell was thrown out of the Shadow Cabinet in 1968, he ceased to be a Conservative MP in 1974, left Parliament as an Ulster Unionist  in 1987 and died in 1998.

In urging pople to vote Labour, Enoch Powell may well have been influential in helping Labour win the second 1974 General Election and thereby in returning Harold Wilson to power. However, he ceased to have any influence in British politics after that.

Very few people these days and hardly anyone under 50 knows anything about Enoch Powell.
