"not sure who was worse..Eunech Powell or Baden Powell..both had silly Adolf like moustaches.." Bobby, both were total bast*@!s. By the way, for any lefties reading this thread (are there any of you??) I've got some good news: I've just looked at Wiki and it seems that someone has succeeded in enacting a technical function that prevents anyone from making further alterations to the two articles mentioned in my initial posting... although as far as I can tell it only lasts for one week. Luckily, I had already deleted the entire paragraph that referred to Powell in the 1970 General Election article, so I'm reasonably pleased that he now gets no mention at all. Regarding the Rivers of Blood article, it is my version of this which has been sustained, and this makes specific reference to The Times newspaper's description of it as "a thoroughly evil speech". Earlier tonight I was feeling really pissed off and emotionally drained by all of this - but now I'm quite chuffed and will pour myself a celebratory glass of red. |
