Ann Keen is a Junior Minister with great potential for promotion to the Cabinet after Gordon Brown wins a fourth term for Labour. Her record at the Department of Health (and before that as a nurse) proves that she is head and shoulders above her Tory opponent, the Merchant Banker Mary Ma££eod. Ann was recently awarded an honorary doctorate for her work in nursing and health by the University of Bedfordshire. She played a major role in the creation of a new hospital on the site of the West Mid and has been named a 'Public Figure of the Year' by a cancer charity. Along with her Labour colleagues at the Department of Health, she has helped to secure a thousand new midwives, a thousand new health visitors and the introduction of free prescriptions for all cancer-related drugs. Regardless of which party people support, there can be no doubt that Ann Keen has the higher calibre of the candidates. |
