| It would be very unlikely that solutions like these are not being considered. However the deadline for submissions to the Structures Fund was on Monday and the outcome will be announced in the autumn. With the former deputy Mayor of London Heidi Alexander probably making the final decision, it seems really unlikely that Hammersmith Bridge won't get the funding. H&F Council's strategy seems to have been to emphasise the negative (it may be that their warnings aren't exaggerated). However, once the money is secured, then they probably will refocus on steps forward that can be made with the bridge. Probably not 'autonomous pods' but the promoters of this service have highlighted that more potential uses are becoming possible for the bridge. |
