| Concessionary fares are paid for by local authorities so no problem there. No entirely new system needed. In the same way bus fares are increased from time to time, routes that cross would charge extra. Surely the relevant bus tap ins can be changed. I appreciate that some fare payers would lose out if a technical solution is beyond the wit of even rocket scientists but fare isn't always fair. "The best we can hope for is a fully functioning bus service paid for by all Londoners as we all benefit from it whether we use it or not" How do the overwhelming number of Londoners that don't use it benefit I wonder? |
