| I voted Labour. I voted to re-elect my sitting MP who I have always found supportive of his constituents' concerns. I was also rather put out by how a minority of 100,000 people choosing who the country's PM should be, as I wanted Rishi to be the PM who succeeded Boris. I was also hoping to relive the euphoria I remember of 1997. It hasn't worked out very well so far, maybe I'll vote for someone else in 4 years. For the country as a whole, just getting the Conservatives out was a significant reason for voting Labour. https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/50658-why-did-britons-vote-the-way-they-did-in-2024 |
