| The figure of £81.3M may look like a large figure initially, James, but it is a minute amount in comparison to its profits. They should be paying far more tax than what they currently do. I know several people who work or have worked at Amazon and there are still huge issues regarding the treatment of its staff. Additionally, numerous independent High Street stores and home businesses across the country are unable to compete with Amazon due to their power, and have gone out of business. Amazon does provide a good service, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't do more to ultimately give back more to those helping it generate record breaking profits. |
