I saw some interviews from this morning with Yvette Cooper doing the rounds on immigration, but she was asked about other subject matters. It was all fluff and nothing concrete, which in the end made her come over as all over the place with some questions with no real detail or knowing what, where and when. Which makes me think 2 things. Either the first real top position has found her out to be up to the position. Or the leader and those around her are no good, and it's such a mess in certain matters that she is having to fluff around in Q&A, knowing full well that it's a bit of a shambles around her, but at the same time is towing the line as a cabinet member. Or it's a bit of both. I think many, many behind know what they think, and it's not good for the top 2 positions in front of them. Some in the city believe Rachel Reeves' upcoming budget will be her last after the bad news to the nation sets in. |
