It could be said that it would be more logical to allow cars to drive through Richmond Park to make 'essential' journeys, but not to allow cars to park in there so people can get out and wander about, however pleasant that might be.  As I understand them, the rules say we should, with a few exceptions, STAY AT HOME!  They say we're allowed out for a short period of daily exercise, but that can just as effectively be done in the streets where we live. Going to Richmond Park specially falls outside the rules, however well we might 'socially distance' once we get there.  I see that the police are now using drones in some attractive rural areas to spot people having a nice day out, and using ANPR to identify cars from outside the immediate area and sending them a stiff letter, and stopping cars arriving at the seaside and sending them back home!
