- I see no reason why Chiswick High Road would be more difficult to close off than Oxford Street. - Chiswick High Road seems perfect, actually, given our predecessors idiotically blasted the A4 through a perfectly lovely residential area, thus making a high volume road that goes pretty much PARALLEL to Chiswick High Road. Idiotic it was, but we may as well use it for its intended purpose: to take all the cars in and out of London. Why the hell has poor Chiswick High Road been lumbered with the increase in rat run traffic over the last few decades? Only a loony would argue that we need to maintain current levels of congestion on CHR, and only an uncreative twit would argue that we couldn't possibly do without cars for ONE day per year. Get a grip. |
