If it was less than clear for you let me help. You call it a referendum. In fact, as we all know now, it was a Brexit camp lie-fest. You call it 'the will of the people'. In fact it was the hoodwinking of the people. Imagine if a political party set out a manifesto full of marvellous commitments. They get voted in because their manifesto sets out such appealing ideas. Then once in power they fail to act on any commitment. They blatantly state - "hey, we only said those things to get the votes, duh". You'd be delighted by that? |
