Yes Robert, you are correct, but we won't get one.Germany is reportedly taking 800,000 of these immigrants, so the "untold millions" remark doesn't seem that wide of the mark.Just suppose that Europe agrees to absorb the people that have made it into Italy or Greece, what happens then ? If the boats keep coming bringing more and more people, do we continue just to absorb these people, or does someone say enough, but the boats keep coming, what then happens to these people ? Surely there must be a cut off point, but who decides when that will be.Britain doesn't have enough housing, school places or hospitals to take in thousands of people.Sure, they can be built but that takes time and money. |
