commiserations Sophia the huge rats sound particularly trying, even for a big hearted animal lover like yourself regarding the road works and rubbish collection, when our road was being done, i asked one of the work man nicely the night before rubbish collection, if the vehicles will be able to come and collect and he asked which time in the morning they come etc and i explained about different vehicles for different kind of rubbish throughout the morning and i did ask if they might not collect due to the barrier being up from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm ? i don't know if it was anything to do with this conversation and talking it through or if we were just lucky, but all of our collections happened as normal during the road works maybe it also had something to do with it being before the tarmac phase also, the vehicles were not Hounslow Highways but all from another contractor and maybe those work man were also not HH (?) they seem to be having long delays with these works there was a laminated note up on a lamp post from LBH Brandon Walsh from Feb 2014 about these road works 'about to start' and about there being no parking allowed between the hours mentioned above and that note was valid until Dec 2014 and no work was carried out during that notice period of nearly a year and 6 months after the expiry of it they finally arrived incl a tow truck which luckily went unused as none of the residents got caught out, being on holiday or such like |
