What Argentina needs is a charm offensive, not a military one. It would then take about three generations before the Falklanders started to think "Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to be Argentinian, after all." At that point, Argentina should offer dual nationality to those who want it. Given a further three generations, a majority might say yes to Buenos Aires. That's long-term thinking for any politico, though - ours or theirs. |
