After living with the complications of measles myself, from 4 years of age. I fell behind at school until it was finally noticed. Through my life time, I've had to duck and dive and adapt things that most people wouldn’t even normally think about. Obviously going by one poster some children are to young to be immunized, I am not qualified enough to make a comment on that situation, but in this day and age surly a milder vaccine could be develop for that age group. I am not into forcing or making a vaccine mandatory, but there should be more education into what the side effects of so called childhood illnesses and how they can effect the rest of a child's live. This message really needs to be advertise more prominently in the media, although I think the local schools are advising parents about the latest outbreak. This used to be the role of the Local Newspaper, which sadly has almost disappeared from our streets, sometimes I think so called progress takes us a step backwards in some circumstances. |
