I was wondering why there was a reference to National Rail in the press release. Are they still involved with Gunnersbury? While an entrance on Wellesley Road would be useful, the ultimate solution would be to replace a car park with another platform as Gunnersbury used to have platforms where the car parks are now anyway. I think the majority of passengers will use the CHR end of the platform so a single platform will always be an issue. With the business park filling up, the new developments and stadium in Brentford, possible increased frequency on the District line once the signalling is upgraded and the proposed Overground link to Crossrail, Gunnersbury will just get busier and busier... |
