At the risk of being thought to be standing up for Britain's most unpopular man, if Shaun Wright received 1,353 votes in /nominations/ as the Labour candidate, that is far from unimpressive. His vote at the election was 74,615, which for all that it was from a low turnout, is a higher number than for most of our elected leaders bar a few city mayors and MEPS. |
