| I have put it joint agents now and using Chestertons - they seem a lot more professional and sent three of their staff round to our flat to have a look and understand exactly wha they are selling (something Dexters never did). Dexters have asked me to lower the price by a huge amount, which I think is a cop out and I have ignored them. Yes, I agree their approach is very aggressive but what really annoys me is their exremely negative - since our proerty is in Staveley Gardens which is a lovely area, close to the river and a 5 minute walk from wither Barnes or Chiswick mainline...Dexters say it's surrounded by council flats, it looks rough outside, we've spent too much decorating it (new kitchen, new bathroom, new flooring, new doors, new wiring, new plumbing, new paint...it's all new so it doesnt come cheap) and making it look pristine and that we are miles away from the high road and from a tube station. I just get the impression none of their staff have ever lived in Chiswick or know anything about the area. Anyone out there thinking of selling their property, look anywhere but Dexters! |
