| The first thing the policeman who stopped me when I was using my phone while driving (many years ago, when it was 3 points rather than 6) was whether I was using it to call 999. The next thing he did was check it wasn’t stolen. I ended up paying a (relatively) small amount for a driver awareness course which I was offered as an alternative to the points. What I found quite funny was how many of the other miscreants were grumbling about police entrapment when they’d been caught, fairly and squarely just like me. |
