| Brian, I'm not sure how one can miss the throngs in Chiswick during the boat race. But it seems you have. Once a year, ten times a year. Accommodating the entire general population on public transit is 24/7. This isn't a tit for tat discussion. I may not be familiar with the details of the laws here, but I'd imagine in 2025 step-free access for public transit is now required by law. Regardless, anyone doubling down attempting to defend the indefensible looks like a fool. There are people who require additional assistance. They should have it. They shouldn't have to map out their journey for the next nearest option which is often no where near where they want or need to go. This is their reality. It simply shouldn't be. If the country can sort out a breast enhancement through the NHS, how is it you all can't sort out step free access for those with physical and/or sensory challenges? |
