| The plans specifically said they would be introducing 3 level car stackers in the basement which implies that whatever is there at the moment, it wasn't sufficient for the number of places in the original plan. So now they have been told to reduce this. It isn't as if the plans were fixed anyway given the likelihood of changes required by the planning approval process. You don't appreciate just how inefficient use of land for car parking is. If it was at ground or above ground, this is land that could be used for other purposes and if it is below ground, it is very expensive to build. If they can save money on that, they will be very happy. |
