| Having brought up three children I count myself very lucky that there was only one academic term that circumstances forced me to have to drive one of them to school on my way to work. I still shudder to recall the stress-filled mornings of trying to coordinate the unwilling to get out of the house as well as prepare myself for the day. The school did have rules about parent drop offs and pick offs which were always flouted by a small number. I am a conformist and stuck to the rules and would do so if the proposed restrictions were introduced. However, if they are not enforced the net result will be that the people who flout the rules will continue to act as they always have done and those that stick to them will have their fraught mornings made even more fraught. |
