| Not necessarily - and isn't safety of school children when they are arriving/leaving school important? I was walking past my local school a few years ago, and there were a lot of concerned people there looking after a girl who had been knocked over by a car, that had subsequently driven off. Luckily, the girl had very minor injuries, and the driver returned within a short period of time and was being spoken to by the police when I left. It would be a very cynical view to think that these school zone schemes are primarily installed for revenue raising. |
