| If safety is such an obvious priority, then why don't ALL above ground tube stations have their lights on all day even in the sunshine we are enjoying now? Try visiting Acton Town station where the lights are always on at the station end nearest central London or Ealing Broadway on the National Rail platforms past the rarely used footbridge going towards London. I suspect in many cases the staff who open up in the mornings leave them on as they have forgotten to switch them off and no more. As others have suggested, some form of light meter would solve the problem but it's probably too difficult for tfl to get their heads round. I'm actually comforted to see '' Auntie Rachel'' not giving in to little donut boy's pleas for even more money to waste as is his whim. |
