| You don't have to go to W London waste - LBH have them here: https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/site/xfp/scripts/xforms_form.php?formID=83&language=en I recently discovered that over 40% of the waste in residual - ie wheelie bins - from properties with kerbside collection (including a weekly food waste collection) is food. This is really crass. If you put food in the residual waste it can stay there for 2 weeks, is very likely to smell and every tonne costs about £100 extra to dispose of compared with recycling via the food waste system. So it is a particularly self-defeating approach even if you don't care two hoots about the planet, and doubly so if you do care. |
