| Unless you have a very big household, if you recycle correctly a 140l bin is more than adequate for two weeks' residual waste, as 70,000 households in Hounslow, and millions around the country prove every fortnight. In common with the vast majority of local authorities, we do not recycle plastic film but encourage people to take it to a front of store recycling point like that at Sainsbury's in Chiswick. I reckon you'd have to work very hard to accumulate enough plastic film to seriously compromise the capacity of a wheelie bin, but maybe your household is unusual. |
