| Krysia. I doubt if your leaves will be collected if they are in plastic sacks which aren’t green and printed Hounslow Highways. The reason I have been given for only being allowed to have 2 paid for garden waste bags is because the council prefer us to have brown wheelie bins. This is because garden waste bags are heavy and can cause back injuries ( although so are green boxes full of bottles ) Also the bags could have sticks poking out of the top which would be dangerous for eyes. If the crew have eyes wouldn’t they be able to see if there are sticks poking out? The reasoning is that if we have space for more than two bags then we have space for a wheelie. Not so in my case. Bags fold up when not in use. When in use they go here and there under bushes before being moved to the pavement for collection on alternate weeks. |
