| Anyone else irritated by the tiny cherry tree planted in the middle of a long line of majestic, soaring, Chestnut Trees at the eastern end of Hartington Rd opposite the Roko Sports Club. This pathetic little tree is blooming away where there should be a growing Chestnut Tree. There are no buildings nearby, just acres of playing fields. What bright spark decided to plant a cherry tree there? It must be replaced. Incidentally, there are spaces along both sides of the road where Chestnuts have been felled - hopefully they will be replaced by more Chestnuts Trees and NOT tiny little Cherry Trees. When in full flower these wonderful Chestnut Trees provide a breathtaking, unique, churchlike avenue from the A316 junction into the Riverside Ward. |
