| Is there not a disease affecting horse chestnuts? If so be a bit daft to plant another if the first one succumbed. PS. Difficult and v expensive to plant mature trees rather than saplings. For street trees putting in matures would almost certainly mean lifting road surface and pavement to make a hole big enough to take the root spread. |
