| Well, it so happens we had planned an Earth Day picnic on Turnham Green this Sunday (nr the War Memorial), 12-2pm. By great good luck, the cherry blossom should indeed be out, so it will be Chiswick's very own local festival. We feared we would be lonely sitting in the cold pouring rain, but it looks set to be lovely. Free elderflower cordial, free seeds, bubbles from Abundance, free tree trail map from Tree Talk giving interesting information about all the nearby trees. Smoothie bike (earn your fruit smoothie by stationary pedalling). Bring your own picnic and rug, avoid single use plastic. And yes, please come by foot, public transport or bike. |
