| Did the Council ever comment on that? Last year great piles of Chestnut leaves were left lying for quite a while before they were removed but not to be burnt I fear, but composted where the nasty larvae snuggle up waiting in the warm to burst forth as moth to float about in the breeze and start laying their eggs. What about the leaves falling on the other side of the roadside fences? Who deals with those? If burning the leaves is not an option, the Forestry commission said the piles of leaves could be covered with earth or other vegetation - how about grass cuttings? Maybe our local Councillors could take this up with Hounslow (after all the to-do of local elections of course). |
