| Chris, Thanks for posting the letter. First time someone posted the warts and all details of the letter they received. Often we only get the complainants view. So for this you are to be commended. How I read it is that you appear to have had a warning. Should you park similarly, with a whole wheel width outside the bay, you may not be so lucky again. I think your argument that the bay should be big enough for a car your size is flawed. Once the bay is in place and meets the minimum standard, whatever that may be, I think it would be for the road user to satisfy them-self that any vehicle they purchase after can fit. As our grannies used to say once bitten. I looked at the vehicle behind yours from the picture you provided and that vehicle's ns tyres were closer to the kerb. Nice car btw just a pity it belongs to a different era. |
