So therein lies the rub - are coalitions really any good when the most powerful of the partners decides to throw their weight around? How can you enter an election with a Manifesto in this case unless you are able to say - but of course if we don't have an outright win then we'll have to ditch a lot of our aims and principles - then who would vote for that? I also think the LibDems have been put in the firing line for delivering some of the less savoury aspects of this Government's decisions, talk about getting the mucky end of the stick. So I do not feel any sympathy for Nasty Nick, ex saint Vince or the Muppet boy, they've sold out for a taste of power, and I don't think that the electorate will ever forgive them. |
