It's actually a privet that had been allowed to run riot between the two houses.  The current owners cut back the hedge but started to make something out of the tallest part and this eventually became the teapot we know today.  I spoke to the 'trimmer' on Friday and are very upset.  Unfortunately they do not have access to computers and W4 and are not aware (I don't think) just how much support there is for their art form. They are trying through a series of ropes to pull the main stems back but this will take time. Like others I have suggested that they trim the lower part back straight down and level which might appease the Council.  Please keep the support going
