| What rubbish, This cobblers about people in social housing being 'workshy' etc.etc. is a complete fallacy, the vast majority of social housing tenants do work and always have done, sometimes in lower paid employment.Many people now who work in the public sector cannot ever hope to own their own home in this neck of the woods, and why do we have this obsession with buying in this country anyway? Why shouldn't we have a viable, affordable rented sector, perhaps then people might move into smaller accomodation when families have left home, some of the people on this Forum typically don't give a stuff about anyone else, yes, let's ship the elderly out if they're in the way, never mind that they've worked all their lives,and would like to enjoy their retirement years in a neighbourhood they know, what a caring attitude. You seem to know the cost of everything and the value of nothing, this is like the Thatcher years again. |
