| Sorry, I am not on strike, but dealing with a close family death. But for what it’s worth, I think there is a whole load of middle management that could go, epically in the NHS. When I referred to public workers, I was meaning really front line types, teachers, doctors, social workers etc. and I was writing in response to the idea of the government not honouring the nurses 3 year pay award. I actually forgot that public workers included all those middle ranking civil servants who make sure that they have their pension’s pot intact. I was more making the point, that it always seems to be those who have insured their own financial security, that voice the opinion that others less well off should take a cut in their incomes. |
