| Robert, the days of expecting the Council to do everything are long gone and a change of attitude is needed. It really takes not time at all to clear the pavement/walkway outside your own property. pull up a few weeds when you see them and use an old screwdriver or special gardening tool to scrape away the grass etc between the paving stones. I am very much against resorting to chemical warfare as an easy option. I am told that there are people pushing for the Council to start using glyphosate again. It is not harmless. There is much written about such chemicals to be found in the media so before advocating a chemical solution read up on the arguments. I am also told that Residents in Hounslow can apply to the Council to have their street registered to be put on the no spray list. |
