| But the wealthy don't invest in the country in the way that many did in the past. They just take their money out of the country anyway. So they may as well take themselves off too if they are not going to invest here in the country. Just look at all the libraries, schools, hospitals, that used to be endowed by the wealthy living here in the past. They were proud to see their names on hospital wings, art galleries etc and to invest in their communities. It is now very much a me-me-me society. |
