"Are these parents all unable to work to support their children?" Many do steve, but when your budgeting on minimum wage and cost of living gets hiked in places it becomes very hard for some to make ends meet. Even 4 pints of milk has gone from £1.10 to £1.70 in most places. Thats just milk I think your thinking all are unable to work. That is not the case. Many work and if your a single parent even more the pain on minimum wage Lets give you a child or two as a single parent between 5-12yrs old, send you out to work 9-5 on minimum wage and see how you get on. Your possibly need a few hours care for your children perhaps while your still working not forgetting your travel time and perhaps travel costs. All starts adding up Then you have food, bills,ct,rent, clothes. Not as easy as your thought steve ? Aye I fear you could get yourself into a bit of a pickle on this one. You have got, fags, sky tv and benefits stuck in your mind where for some thats not the case and its those who possibly are going to school hungary. Have you offered your compassion to the local food bank steve |
