| Evening. I too have just received a penalty notice for £130 for driving my son to hockey at the Roko Club, something I have done for years, although obviously not in lockdown! I would consider myself a reasonably careful and observant driver, but did not see any signs. The exact location of the 'contravention' was at the junction of Chiswick Quay, just past the entrance to the club. As some of you will know, the club has a carpark, which I use, and driving there is necessary for us, as too far to walk and my son is not a confident cyclist, plus we have to take his hockey gear with us. I really don't understand this - can you no longer drive to the Roko Club? Surely this counts as access?! The ticket claims to go up to £195 if not paid within 28 days, which I assume is to scare people into not trying to contest it - can this be contested does anyone know? |
