Michael - when are you going to learn? Now would be a good time for you and your Hounslow Cycling mates to start apologising for the shambolic anti-car agenda that Hounslow Council has been implementing under your direction.

These road schemes are Frankenstein experiments that should never have seen the light of day.

Significant and fundamental changes like these SHOULD NEVER have been driven through without a full public consultation process. Experimenting on a live system without listening to "the patient" is just plain daft.
The excuse that Hounslow Council could only afford to do this if it received grants from Tfl is blown out of the water by The Hounslow House crew awarding themselves a large hike in allowances with £400k back dated.

In Chiswick Riverside (Grove Park) local councillors repeatedly warned that much in the six schemes was impractical and would cause many residents serious problems. This was largely ignored. Traffic island were ripped out, barriers installed and the whole area was balkanised.

Residents had complained about speeding traffic - the measures introduced did not address this.

Residents complained of rat-running. The measures were clearly aimed at the morning rush hour but do not address the evening rush hour.

There is a clear logical order for introducing the schemes but they were introduced pretty much in reverse order. The Hartington Road scheme should have been implemented first but was not live until eight months after Harvard Hill was blocked off.

Two key schemes depended on ANPR technology. It is now clear that LBH has no experience of such schemes and should not have brought forward these schemes until they did.
