Exactly. And let’s examine the issue that the UK was “rudderless “ when Johnson was in hospital, and for that matter in the days after. Rather than showing that Johnson is the only effective person in government it actually demonstrates how poorly equipped he is for leadership. He did not define who or how the government would be led in his absence; that’s leadership basics. He has surrounded himself with useless yes men as he is unable to lead anything other than that. That is weakness not strength. He relies on Cummings who was busy breaking the rules in Durham. He pushed any minister onto the daily briefing so his face would not be associated with confusion, on the hoof thinking and repeated failures. That is spineless behaviour not leadership. Johnson is not a good PM. |
