It shows how important it is to keep up with your relations and friends and as you get older which can become more difficult as the number of old friends diminishes. With a bit of trouble some of those you knew but who weren't such close friends can become closer and you can meet new people. The best friend of FIL moved into a home and had a mobile and we wanted to arrange another visit or phone call. They wouldn't even pass a message for him (or his son) to phone us and just stated "Data Protection". This is a misuse of data protection. This organisation has a befiending service and there certainly used to be a member of CW4.com who did this. https://www.ageuk.org.uk/hounslow/our-services/befriending/ |
