Agreed, great article by Cllr John Todd. One item that jumped out was those residents who have 'gone a few days without speaking with anyone'. This is very sad, and made me wonder, are there any volunteer organisations that provide some sort of 'social visit's' to those that are older/infirm/lonely? I would volunteer some of my time if it meant a person wouldn't have to go 'days' without speaking/interacting with anyone else. |
