Richard, I am still wondering if anyone has answers, so cutting the rate of VAT is the answer to GREEAATNESS. I though the last coalition INCREASED VAT without any inut from Brussels, whilst most of the tax paid on petrol is all due to that naughtly place called Westminster. the impending recession will hit tax revenues more than the annual rebate, making our deficit worse. Inflation will go up, good news for pensioners with the triple lock, band news for the rest of us who see another hit to living standards..... so where is teh good news comign from>>> Btw, I am not greeting, I am just pointing out what is happening in the financial markets, where all of us individually and as a country are already substantially worse off. If you are retired on an index linked pension you are fine, those of us still working and the vast majority without such a pension are being well and truly marooned by the vanishing tide of confidence in the UK economy. I kust thought somewhere one of the leavers might have somethign resembling some kind of plan.... |
