| MEPs have few powers and are only there to give the impression of democracy. When the EU feels itself to be in a strong position, possibly after a Remain result, they would be scrapped. Juncker was elected to power but his name was the only name on the ballot paper - EU democracy in action! The EU is a dictatorship in progress. Notice how Cameron could get nothing from them yet when Merkel said all migrants were welcome, she didn't refer to the other 27 countries who would all be affected by her decision. The EU has rules but if you don't like them, they have others, you won't like them either. |
